University Farm " Antonio Servadei"

The “Antonio Servadei” University Agricultural Farm is the green heart of the University of Udine. Named after the first rector of the Friulian university, the company is fully operational since1988 and it spans approximately 70 hectares distributed across two specialized hubs.

The Sant’Osvaldo site is located in the south of Udine and it is dedicated to crop cultivation and agri-food processing activities, while in Pagnacco, in the north of the city, the activity focuses on livestock farming and aquaculture.

The farm is a true open-air laboratory where students, researchers, and faculty members can experiment, innovate, and grow. It cultivates knowledge and solutions in the fields of agronomy, herbaceous and tree crops, viticulture, greenhouse cultivation, and agri-industrial processing.

In addition to education and research, the farm produces and sells a selection of agricultural and agri-food products, all obtained with the full respect for the environment. Every phase of the production process is sustainability-oriented, starting from land management to the conscious use of natural resources, with the aim to ensure quality, traceability, and low environmental impact.

A place where education meets practice, research becomes innovation, and sustainability becomes a concrete value.
